Commercial ships ‘going dark’ in Strait of Hormuz won’t restore global oil
More than 80 commercial ships have “gone dark” in the Strait of Hormuz in the past five weeks, but experts say the tactic is unlikely to restore oil flows or ease fuel prices. Marine intelligence company Windward has been monitoring the strait, revealing to the ABC vessels are switching off tracking systems as they attempt to navigate the conflict.
