Hawthorn are “extremely disappointed” about the AFL’s decision to force them out of Tasmania before the Devils ’ planned 2028 league debut. The Hawks have played home games in Launceston since 2001 in a lucrative deal with the state government and were eager to continue their arrangement, even after the Apple Isle got its own team from 2028 onwards.
