War on ‘kill cars’: NSW to raise jail time for gang arson
Torching vehicles used in serious crimes, firebombing businesses and recruiting children to engage in criminal activity will receive harsher prison sentences as part of a suite of reforms to be introduced by the NSW government to curb a wave of gang violence. The reforms come after a series of increasingly brazen violence as gangs jostle for control of Sydney’s streets.
