'Not far away': Rescuers confident of reaching group trapped in Laos cave
Rescuers in Laos cleared 15 metres of obstacles Monday while racing to reach seven people trapped in a cave since May 20 after a landslide. A Thai team that rescued a soccer squad from a flooded cave in 2018 joined the operation and estimates less than 20 metres remain to the trapped group. Water pumping continues around the clock.
