Congolese artist Lucie Kamusekera, 82, has stitched over 70 tapestries documenting decades of conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, using handmade needles and tobacco sacks as canvas. Born in 1944 and taught to sew by Italian nuns, she began recording contemporary history after witnessing a military truck filled with corpses.
