PSOs removed from 119 railway stations, redeployed to crime hotspots
Victoria Police announced a redeployment of Protective Services Officers from 119 low-traffic railway stations to focus on 32 crime hotspots, starting Sunday. Assistant Commissioner Mick Hermans stated that this strategy aims to enhance security amid a 33 percent rise in violent offenses since COVID lockdowns lifted.
