Woman charged over alleged assault of teen cafe worker

A 52-year-old Footscray woman has been charged with recklessly causing injury after allegedly assaulting 19-year-old cafe worker Anais Poupon outside La Vallee in Essendon on April 25. Police say the woman smacked plates into Poupon's face, chipping her tooth. She was arrested Saturday at Dandenong railway station and bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on August 17.
