Police mark another wanding milestone with operation in city mall
Queensland police marked a milestone in Jack's Law enforcement, reaching nearly 127,600 metal detector scans across the state. The legislation, named after 17-year-old stabbing victim Jack Beasley, has seized over 1,000 weapons and led to approximately 2,000 arrests since being made permanent last year. Police Minister Dan Purdie said the effort helps drive down crime and keep communities.
