After his recital was canned, Jayson Gillham took an orchestra to court

Pianist Jayson Gillham sued the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in October 2024 for canceling his recital after he dedicated a piece to journalists killed in Gaza. The MSO initially called the cancellation an error but negotiations failed. Gillham's Federal Court trial begins May 18, followed by his independent "Keys to Life" tour this July featuring collaborations with Palestinian pianist Iyad Sughayer.
