'We're taking him home': Aboriginal stockman's remains repatriated
Southern Arrernte stockman Thomas Cowell's remains are being repatriated to Witjira National Park this week, more than 60 years after the South Australian Museum acquired them when flooding disturbed his grave in 1966. The reburial ceremony occurs Thursday during National Reconciliation Week. Research confirmed Cowell, who died in 1959, had family links to Mount Dare Station.
