Del Toro brings restored Pan's Labyrinth back to Cannes after record ovation
Director Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth" returns to Cannes in May 2026 as a 4K restoration, 20 years after earning the festival's record 22-minute standing ovation. Del Toro personally supervised the restoration from the original 35mm negative. The Cannes Classics program features 21 restored films spanning eight decades, including works by Kurosawa, Visconti, and Welles.
