Snow falls on coldest day of the year in Melbourne

Snow blanketed Victorian alpine resorts Thursday as a cold front brought the year's coldest day to Melbourne, with temperatures plunging to 14 degrees Celsius. The Bureau of Meteorology said snow fell at elevations above 600 metres across north-eastern suburbs including Kinglake and Healesville.
