A new North star? England cricket turn to Australian as new selector
England will appoint Australian Marcus North as national selector this week, the Durham cricket director beating British rivals Steven Finn and Darren Gough for the role. North, who played 21 Tests for Australia between 2009 and 2010, replaces Luke Wright and becomes the first non-British national selector in five years.
