Japanese Director Yoshihiro Nishimura Dies at 59 from Liver Disease
Yoshihiro Nishimura, the Japanese director behind "Tokyo Gore Police" and "Welcome to Japan," died Monday in Tokyo from liver disease. He was 59. Nishimura's 2008 debut "Tokyo Gore Police" opened doors for a new wave of Japanese ultra-violent horror cinema, and he later worked on "Shin Godzilla" as special effects supervisor.
