Water and sewage bill increases on the way for Tasmanians
Tasmania's water utility TasWater will increase customer bills by an average of 5.7 percent annually over four years, raising typical household costs by around $350 yearly. The Economic Regulator rejected TasWater's original 11.5 percent proposal, instead approving a plan that limits total increases to 25 percent by 2030. By 2026-27, average household bills will reach $1,487.
