Critical Resources hails sulphur-free battery breakthrough

Critical Resources reported its sulphur-free solid-state electrolyte achieved ionic conductivity of 3.2 milliSiemens per centimetre at room temperature, matching leading sulphide-class materials in testing at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. The breakthrough could enable safer, lower-cost manufacturing compared to toxic sulphide electrolytes that require inert-atmosphere processing. The company plans interfacial and compression testing before advancing to full-cell development.
