Qld students among weakest for computer literacy, despite growing AI use

Two-thirds of Queensland year 10 students fail to meet national computer literacy benchmarks despite extensive AI use, Australia's curriculum authority found Wednesday. Proficiency in the state dropped over 10 percent since 2022 and sits four points below the national average, the lowest of any mainland state. Year 6 students showed consistent performance, with about half achieving proficiency.
