Giro d’Italia: Arrieta wins chaotic stage five while Eulálio takes maglia rosa
Spain's Igor Arrieta won a chaotic fifth stage of the Giro d'Italia on Wednesday, edging Portugal's Afonso Eulálio in a sprint finish despite heavy rain and crashes. Eulálio nonetheless took the overall lead after the 203-kilometer mountain stage, finishing seven minutes clear of Italian Giulio Ciccone. Both leaders recovered from falls on rain-slicked roads near the finish.
