Albanese to override sceptics and plough billions into Suburban Rail Loop
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will commit billions to Melbourne's Suburban Rail Loop despite budget pressures and scepticism from his own ministers, sources said Tuesday. The Commonwealth will pledge between $2.5 billion and $4 billion toward the 90-kilometre orbital rail project before the May 12 budget.
