Cruise Ship Hits Reef Near Survivor Island Days Before Start of Season
A Blue Lagoon Cruises ship struck a reef near Monuriki Island, Fiji, on April 4, carrying 30 passengers and 31 crew. All were safely transferred before the vessel was grounded due to severe weather ahead of the filming of Survivor's 51st season on April 15. The ship will be retired following sustaining further damage during Tropical Cyclone Vaianu.
