Burke confirms IS families ‘have made plans’ to come to Australia
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke confirmed that 13 Australians linked to Islamic State, including four women and nine children stranded in a Syrian camp, have made plans to return to Australia. Burke said law enforcement has prepared contingency plans since 2014 and that any returnees who committed crimes will face prosecution. The government will provide no assistance to the group.
