The high-growth corridors where state schools are hiring more teachers revealed
Queensland state schools hired more than 1,000 teachers last year, with nearly half joining schools in the booming Metro South region covering Brisbane's south, Logan and Ipswich. Yeronga State High School, which enrolled 250 additional students over three years, was among schools adding more than a dozen staff members. The state recorded 600 unfilled teaching vacancies in February.
