Students’ names, staff data compromised in state school cyberattack

A cyberattack on Queensland's Education Department compromised five years of student and staff data from its QLearn platform, affecting users since 2020. Names, email addresses and school locations were potentially exposed, though passwords and financial information were not accessed, Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek said. The global breach of Instructure's systems affected up to 2 million people and 9,000 institutions worldwide.
