Ousted AFI boss makes major concession in unfair dismissal case
Damian Trewhella, ousted CEO of the Australian Film Institute, dropped his demand for reinstatement on the first day of his unfair dismissal case in Federal Court on Thursday. The former boss of the organization that runs Australia's equivalent of the Oscars sought temporary reappointment to his $327,000-a-year position but withdrew the request after 30 minutes.
