‘Best of both worlds’: Maternity shake-up at Sydney hospital
A new maternity model at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney allows women to receive free pregnancy and postpartum care from private endorsed midwives. The program, aimed at providing continuity of care, enables women the choice to give birth in a public hospital while maintaining their private midwife relationship. Nine women have already enrolled in this NSW-first initiative.
