Tigers chair O’Farrell backs V’landys for all-powerful rugby league job
Wests Tigers chairman Barry O'Farrell endorsed Peter V'landys becoming rugby league's executive chairman on Tuesday, backing the Racing NSW chief who takes four-month leave from July. V'landys already chairs the Australian Rugby League Commission and would gain expanded powers if the ARL Commission constitution changes. Sydney Roosters chairman Nick Politis and Melbourne Storm co-owner Matt Tripp also supported.
