Peterborough artist Rene Matić wins Deutsche Börse photography prize
Peterborough photographer Rene Matić won the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation prize 2026, receiving £30,000 for their Berlin exhibition examining queer love, nationalism and subcultures. Matić, also Turner Prize-nominated in 2025, was recognized for experimental photography installations featuring images, flags with sewn slogans and found objects.
