Father and daughter plead guilty to $2 million art forgery scheme
A New Jersey father and daughter pleaded guilty Tuesday to running a years-long counterfeiting scheme that defrauded art auction houses of at least $2 million. Erwin Bankowski, 50, and Karolina Bankowska, 26, commissioned a Polish artist to create over 200 forged works attributed to Picasso, Banksy and Warhol.
