Bomb targeting Russian general kills subordinate in far eastern military town
An explosion killed a Russian army officer in a remote military town in Russia's far east on Tuesday, apparently aimed at Maj Gen Azatbek Omurbekov, the commander accused of leading troops during the Bucha massacre in 2022. The bomb was placed in a mailbox but detonated at the wrong entrance, killing a subordinate instead.
