Aqua Announces Breakup Nearly 30 Years After Releasing “Barbie Girl”
Aqua has dropped some not-so-fantastic news. After three decades together, the Danish-Norwegian eurodance group—whose most recent lineup included René Dif , Søren Rasted and Lene Nystrøm —announced they were splitting. “After many incredible years, we have decided to close the chapter of AQUA as a live band,” the band wrote in an Instagram post on May 19.
