Sovereign citizen shoots dead two Victorian police officers during warrant execution
Dezi Freeman, 56, shot dead two Victorian police officers during a search warrant execution on August 26 last year, an inquest heard Monday. Freeman, a self-proclaimed sovereign citizen, fatally shot Senior Constable Vadim De Waart-Hottart and Detective Leading Senior Constable Neil Thompson at his rural property while refusing to exit a converted.
