‘Living legend’: McRae hits back at ‘selfish’ claims over Pendlebury record
Collingwood coach Craig McRae defended Scott Pendlebury against "selfish" criticism ahead of the 38-year-old's record-breaking appearance Saturday against Geelong. Pendlebury will equal Brent Harvey's VFL/AFL record of 432 games, then break it in round 11 against West Coast. McRae called Pendlebury "the least selfish person" at the club and said celebrating the living legend does not compromise team performance.
