A Swedish study of 600,000 patients found that weight gain in adulthood increases cancer risk by up to five times. Men who became obese before age 30 had a five times higher risk of liver cancer, while women faced a four-and-a-half times increased risk of endometrial cancer. Researchers found no safe age to gain weight.
