Victoria Police arrest 95 in week of 161 family violence cases
Victoria Police's Dandenong family violence division responded to 161 cases in a single week last month, arresting 95 perpetrators and recording nearly 300 offences including 66 assaults and 8 rapes. The cases included hammer attacks, strangulation, and armed robbery across Greater Dandenong, Cardinia and Casey. Victoria recorded 106,427 family violence incidents last year, an 8 percent increase from the prior.
