Qantas’ Project Sunrise plane to be delayed until 2027
Qantas' first Project Sunrise aircraft will arrive in April 2027, delayed from late 2026 due to Airbus supply chain issues. The A350-1000 ULR is designed to fly 22-hour routes from Australia's east coast directly to New York and London. Qantas expects all five initial planes by November 2027, enabling nonstop flights that save up to four hours of travel.
