Western Australia overhauls public housing waitlist to address urgent needs
Western Australia will overhaul its public housing waitlist, admitting the current system is outdated and inadequate for growing needs. Housing Minister John Carey stated that the reform, aimed for early 2028, includes a new priority housing needs matrix to address complex demands, notably from women escaping domestic violence.
