Refinery blaze not cause to rachet up fuel crisis response, Albanese says

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that a recent fire at the Viva Energy refinery in Geelong will not escalate Australia's fuel crisis response beyond stage two of its national plan. The blaze, which occurred late Wednesday, reduced petrol production to 60 percent and diesel to 80 percent. The government will provide updates on fuel stockpiles and shipments on Saturday.
