Unions, Queensland Rail end mammoth 7hr meeting no closer to deal
Queensland Rail and unions ended a seven-and-a-half-hour mediation session Thursday with no deal, agreeing to resume talks Friday at the Fair Work Commission. Rail, Tram and Bus Union state secretary Peter Allen said progress could take six weeks, while Queensland Rail chief executive Kat Stapleton called for a reduced log of claims. The dispute has disrupted services since April 1.
