Author Craig Silvey pleads guilty to distributing child exploitation material
West Australian author Craig Silvey pleaded guilty Tuesday to distributing child exploitation material and possessing such material in Fremantle Magistrates Court. The 43-year-old, best known for his 2009 novel Jasper Jones, was arrested in January after allegedly engaging with other offenders online. His case proceeds to District Court for sentencing, and schools nationwide have removed his books from curricula.
