Digital drivers licences coming to WA
The Western Australia government will introduce digital driver’s licenses by late next year, allocating $28.2 million in the upcoming budget. Assistant Transport Minister Jess Stojkovski emphasized that physical licenses will still be available for those who prefer them. A pilot of the digital wallet is set for mid-2026, with the licenses launching in late 2027.
