Lindian powers towards rare earths production lift off in Malawi
Lindian Resources targets fourth-quarter 2026 first production at its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi, with plant commissioning set for October. The company secured A$100 million funding and a 15-year offtake deal with Iluka Resources for 6,000 tonnes annually of monazite concentrate. Mining activities begin in late June to establish stockpiles ahead of schedule.
