Neale Daniher dies, aged 65, after long fight with MND
Neale Daniher, the former Melbourne coach and champion VFL footballer, died Monday at age 65 after battling motor neurone disease. Named Australian of the Year in 2025 for his FightMND fundraising efforts, Daniher coached Melbourne to a 2000 grand final and was one of four brothers who played together for Essendon in 1990.
