On board the European high-speed train zooming through Central Asia’s desert

Uzbekistan's high-speed train, Afrosiyob, operates up to 10 times daily between Samarkand and Tashkent. The fast service, covering the distance in two hours and 20 minutes at speeds up to 250km/h, features Spanish-made Talgo trains with three classes of service.
