Nurse's Torture Recorded by Ex-Boyfriend Charged With Her Murder, Police Allege
Kevin Motykie was charged with first-degree murder and sexual assault in the April 30 death of nurse Katherine Torbick in suburban Chicago. Police discovered a recording device in Motykie's pocket containing over seven hours of audio allegedly depicting torture, sexual assault, and strangling. Torbick, a gastroenterology nurse and mother, had previously filed a felony complaint against Motykie in March.
