Chewing gum ban remains on Gold Coast trams but fines rolled back
Gold Coast light rail operator Goldlinq will remove fines from signs banning chewing gum on stage three trams launching later this year. Signs at eight new stations threatened commuters with penalties, but the operator said restrictions will be "adjusted" before service begins.
