Brisbane’s most popular libraries revealed amid surge in visitors
Brisbane's most popular libraries drew 100,000 additional visits in the first five months of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to a council budget update released Tuesday. Chermside, Wynnum and Kenmore libraries accounted for more than half the new visits. The surge reflects increased community engagement across the city's 33 library branches.
