Medieval King Arthur manuscript could fetch £2m at auction
A medieval King Arthur manuscript depicting Merlin and the holy grail, unseen publicly for 700 years, will be auctioned by Christie's in July with an estimated value of £1.5 million to £2 million. Dating from 1290 to 1310, the Lebaudy manuscript contains 126 gold-leaf illuminated miniatures from the Old French Lancelot-Grail cycle. Only three similar manuscripts exist in private hands.
