Racing Victoria rescinds chief veterinary officer appointment after criminal charges surface
Racing Victoria rescinded Dr Glenn Robertson-Smith's appointment as chief veterinary officer on Tuesday, one day after announcing his hiring. The reversal followed discovery that Robertson-Smith had been charged in 2018 for making threatening phone calls to a Melbourne Racing Club executive. Chief executive Aaron Morrison said the appointment did not align with Racing Victoria's values.
