Chemical tank rupture kills two, leaves eleven feared dead in Washington
Search efforts shifted to recovery Wednesday after a chemical tank ruptured at a Washington packaging facility, with 11 feared dead and two confirmed. The 3.4 million litre vat at Nippon Dynawave Packaging in Longview held sodium hydroxide and sodium sulphide used in papermaking. Governor Bob Ferguson called it potentially "the deadliest industrial tragedy in modern Washington state history.".
