Illegal Lara waste dump sells for $16m. It cost $71m to clean
Building company Hickory has picked up one of the city’s most notorious sites, a bogus recycling plant in Lara that once held a 20-metre-high pile of rubbish and cost the state $71 million to clean up. Records show Hickory has slapped a caveat over the 14.49-hectare parcel of land at 300-400 Broderick.
